Generate Articles with Chrome Extension

Overview

Record workflows and create articles with the DocsHound Chrome extension. This allows you to generate documentation quickly and easily.

Download and Install the DocsHound Extension

Download the Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store. You can find the Chrome extension here.

Click the Add to Chrome button. Pin the extension to your browser for easy access.

Set Up Your Recording

Optimize your screen size for the best recording quality by clicking the Optimize Size 16:9 button.

Select your microphone from the Mic dropdown menu.

Record Your Workflow

Go to the webpage where you want to begin recording your workflow. We will use sending a letter in DocuPost as an example.

Click the Start Recording button to begin. Clearly narrate each step of your workflow as you demonstrate the process.

DocsHound will capture both your screen and audio. Continue working through the steps.

You can Cancel or Restart the process using the buttons in the DocsHound extension if needed.

Generate the Article

When finished recording, click Stop Recording. DocsHound will suggest a title for the article that you can edit.

Click Create Article. DocsHound will generate your article.
