Add Media

  1. Open the context menu that appears when your cusor hovers in the editor

  2. Press the plus button

  3. Select Image, GIF or Video

  4. Upload or embed media

  5. Adjust the settings if needed

  6. Save your changes

Image Upload Guidelines

When uploading images to DocsHound, we recommend using a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels with a 16:9 aspect ratio. This resolution ensures a clear and high-quality display in the published guide.

Uploaded images can be clicked to view in a zoomed-in mode, providing users with a detailed and enhanced viewing experience.

Embedding Videos

To embed a YouTube or Vimeo video in DocsHound, follow these steps. Click the plus button from the contacts menu, then select the embed video option.

A modal window will appear, where you can choose the embed option. You will see a field labeled 'Paste URL to Media.' Here, paste the URL of your YouTube or Vimeo video.

It is important to ensure that the video's thumbnail or cover image set in YouTube Studio or Vimeo looks good. This thumbnail will be shown in the guide, affecting how the video appears to users.

Set a Good Thumbnail

Make sure the thumbnail for your video looks good and is set in YouTube Studio or Vimeo. This ensures your content appears attractive and professional.
