Publish Settings

Overview

Configure your guide's appearance, functionality, and tracking using DocsHound's publishing settings. These settings allow you to customize your guide with your branding, manage its online presence, and integrate with analytics platforms.

Customize Appearance

Upload your product logo by clicking the Upload area in the Publish settings. Select your logo file.

Click the Font dropdown to choose a font for your guide.

Use the Color picker to adjust brand colors. Click the Display Mode radio buttons to select light or dark mode.

Custom Domain

Set up a custom domain by clicking the Domain tab. Select Configure domain to set up a custom domain.

Click Disable custom domain to remove a custom domain.

Edit Metadata

Enter your guide's title and description in the Basic Meta tab to update the guide's metadata.

Upload a social sharing image in the OpenGraph Image section, and choose your browser icon in the Favicon section. Activate the Block robots toggle to prevent search engine indexing.

Click Save to save your changes.

In the Links tab, enter URLs for your website, app, and social media platforms.

Click Save to apply changes.

Set Up Analytics

In the Analytics tab, you can enter your Google Analytics tracking ID or a PostHog key and host URL.

Adjust Privacy Settings

Enter your CookieYes configuration code in the Privacy tab to manage cookie and privacy configurations.

Customize Chatbot

In the Chatbot tab, use the Chatbot enabled toggle switch to enable or disable the chatbot.

Enter a support email, upload an avatar, and customize the chatbot agent name, button label, first message, and allowed domains. Click Save to save the chatbot settings.

Manage Status

View the live URL in the Status tab.

Click the Unpublish button to take your guide offline. You can also install the chatbot and download chatbot logs from this tab.
