Content Blocks

Overview

Manage content blocks in DocsHound to organize headings, paragraphs, images, and other elements in your documentation.

Move Content Blocks

To move a content block, hover over the block and click the six-dot icon.

Drag and drop the block to the desired location.

Add and Refine Content Blocks

Hover over the plus symbol next to any content block and click to open the Insert Menu. This allows you to insert a new content block above the one you have selected.

Headings

Click Heading 1 to insert a main heading or Heading 2 for a subheading.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Click Step-by-step to insert numbered steps. Press Ctrl+Enter to add a new step.

Callout Boxes

Click Callout Box to add an highlighted box for important information.

Tables

Click Table to insert a table. Press Ctrl+Enter to add a new row, and use the plus button in the top right to add a column.

Images, GIFs, and Videos

Click Image/GIF/Video to add media. Browse your computer or drag and drop files into the dialog box that opens to upload the media file.

Code

To add a code block, click Code .

You can include multiple code snippets in different languages within one code block. Each snippet can be named for better organization.

DocsHound supports syntax highlighting for various programming languages. To add another code snippet, press Ctrl+Enter or Cmd+Enter.

If you need to remove a code snippet, use the Delete key or the Backspace key on your keyboard.

When your document is published, code snippets will display as tabs if there are multiple snippets. If there is only one snippet, it will display as a single code block.

Embed iFrame

Click Embed to embed iframes using a URL. In the dialog box that opens, enter the URL in the URL textbox and click Save.

Bulleted Lists

Click Bulleted List to create an unordered list.

Numbered Lists

Click Numbered List to create an ordered list.

FAQ

Click FAQ to insert a Frequently Asked Questions section.

Refine Content with HoundAI

To refine any content block with HoundAI, hover over the block and click the dog icon labeled Refine with HoundAI.

In the panel that opens on the right, provide instructions or context. Click Refine with HoundAI again to apply the changes.
