Install Chrome Extension
Initiate Installation
To start the installation of the DocsHound Chrome Extension, select the Install DocsHound extension
button. This prompt appears after choosing the Record (Chrome Extension)
option for document creation.
Update Chrome Browser
Check that your Chrome browser is up to date before installing the extension to avoid compatibility issues.
Complete Installation
To complete the installation of the DocsHound Chrome extension, click the Install DocsHound extension
button. A new tab will open in your browser to the Chrome Web Store page for the extension.
On the Chrome Web Store page, click on the Add to Chrome
button. A dialog will pop up asking for confirmation to add the extension. Click Add extension
to confirm.
Once the installation is complete, you will see a notification confirming that the DocsHound extension has been added to Chrome. The extension icon will appear in your browser's toolbar for easy access.
Create Documents with Extension
Select Input Method
To choose the input method for document creation using the Chrome extension, locate the Record (Chrome Extension)
button on the initial selection screen. Click this button to start the recording process for your document.
Record and Generate Document
Once the DocsHound Chrome Extension is installed, click the DocsHound
icon in your browser's toolbar. This opens the extension interface. Press the Record
button to begin capturing your screen activities.
Navigate through your application while the extension captures interactions. You can pause or stop the recording using the controls within the extension interface.
After stopping the recording, the extension will process the captured data. This may take a few moments. Upon completion, you will be prompted to review and refine the generated document.
