Arrange docs

Overview

Learn how to use the drag-handle and intuitive visual cues help you modify hierarchy and placement when arranging docs within the Sidebar.

Action	Instructions
Reorder	Drag the doc. Watch for a horizontal line showing where it will be placed when you release.
Nest	Drag the doc into the desired parent doc. Drop it when the blue bar around the parent doc is highlighted.
Convert to Parent	Drag the doc to a top-level position or where it stands alone, not under another doc.

Can I rearrange docs into different categories?
Yes, you can move docs between categories by dragging them to the desired category in the sidebar.
How do I know if a doc has been successfully rearranged?
Once you drop the doc in the new position, the sidebar will reflect the change immediately.
Is there a limit to how many times I can rearrange docs?
No, you can rearrange docs as many times as needed to achieve the optimal structure for your guide.
